This fall the Department of Philosophy is excited to welcome a new cohort of MA students. Welcome, Sabrina Green, Isaac Shur, Keegan Callerame and Robert Johnson!
My name is Sabrina. I'm from Charleston, SC and my area of specialty is aesthetics. I'm most looking forward to learning from different professors with their own specialties! My fun fact is that I play the violin.
My name is Isaac Shur, I’m from Illinois, but I did my B.S. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Northeastern University in Boston. I’m mainly interested in moral, political, and legal philosophy, especially as those topics overlap with more specific issues like political legitimacy, immigration, and punishment. The two things I’m most looking forward to about starting my MA at GSU this fall are getting the chance to work with professors I admire and meeting other students who like philosophy so much that they wanted to pursue a graduate degree in the subject. A couple fun facts about me: I was an avid actor throughout high school and college, performing in over a dozen plays and musicals. More recently I was fortunate enough to travel throughout the U.S. as well as to Canada and Poland to present my research.
My name is Keegan, and I'm from Louisiana. My current philosophical focus is in metaethics and Nietzsche. I'm really excited to have discussions with engaging professors outside of class, and I'm also looking forward to teaching philosophy. A fun fact about me is that I'm a black belt in Taekwondo.
My name is Robert/Bobby Johnson, and I’m from Atlanta. My M.A. is in Philosophy, and I plan on specializing in the philosophy of neuroscience and mind. I’m excited to have the chance to teach, and to learn from GSU’s excellent faculty and my fellow graduate students. In my free time enjoy playing music (especially the drums) and tinkering with old electronic musical equipment.
