Nicholas Bergen successfully defended his thesis, The Time of Life and the Life of Time: An Articulation of the Problem of Time and Eternity in Hegel and Two Attempts to Resolve It." The committee was Sebastian Rand (chair), Eric Wilson, and Edgar Illas.
Nicholas Codispoti will earn his M.I.S. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics in Summer 2023.
Carter Delegal successfully defended his thesis, “Equal Respect, Accountability, and Democracy." The committee was Christie Hartley (chair), and Bill Edmundson.
Will Fraker successfully defended his thesis and earned the honor of Distinction. His thesis is titled “Social Kind Generics and the Dichotomizing Perspective.” The committee was Dan Weiskopf (chair) and Christie Hartley. He will attend UCLA for his Ph.D. in Philosophy in the fall.
Alan Hettinger will defend his thesis this summer, "Social Domination and the Class Structure: Extending Left-Republican Arguments." His committee chair is S.M. Love.
Ben Hu successfully defended his thesis, “Credal Encroachment in a Two-Stage Model.” The committee was Juan S. Piñeros Glasscock (chair), and Neil Van Leeuwen. He will go to NYU for law school in the fall.
Mert Karaca successfully defended his thesis, “A Moral-Epistemic Argument Against Capitalistic Labor Contracts.” His committee included Peter Lindsay (chair), and S. M. Love. He will go to SUNY-Binghamton for his Ph.D. in Philosophy in the fall.
Bilal Khan successfully defended his thesis, "Closing the Roads to Immanence in the Phaedo." He will attend the University of Louisiana-Lafayette for his Ph.D. in Creative Writing in the fall.
Sarah Kinglsey received her M.I.S. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics in Spring 2023.
Ashley Lindsley-Kim successfully defended her thesis, "The Model Minority Stereotype as A Hermeneutical Injustice." The committee was Christie Hartley (chair), and Andrew I. Cohen. She will attend the University of British Columbia for her Ph.D. in Philosophy in the fall of 2024. She will work as a Visiting Instructor in the Department of Philosophy starting in the fall of 2023.
Qinyi Luo successfully defended her thesis and earned the honor of Distinction. Her thesis is titled "The Politics of Anger." The committee was Peter Lindsay (chair), and S.M. Love. She will attend UC Riverside for her Ph.D. in Philosophy in the fall.
Antonio Monaco successfully defended his thesis, "Together After All: Competition and Joint Action." The committee was Andrea Scarantino (chair), and Dan Weiskopf. He will attend the University of Indiana for his Ph.D. in Philosophy in the fall.
Trevor Rukwava will receive his MA in Summer 2023.

Marlon Rivas Tinoco successfully defended his thesis, "Believing Rationally Given Your Actual Beliefs: On One Objection to Susanna Rinard's Theory of Rational Beliefs." He will attend the University of Oklahoma for his Ph.D. in Philosophy in the fall.
Phoenix Thompson successfully defended his thesis, "Adam Smith, Virtue, and Sympathy for Animals." The committee was Eric Wilson (chair), and Tim O'Keefe. He will pursue a career with the Atlanta Fire Department.
Yifan Wang successfully defended her thesis, In Defense of Emotion-Based Approaches to Moral Motivation." She will attend the University of Pennsylvania Ethics and Legal Studies program at the Wharton Business School in the fall.
